Hiya, I’m Sofia :)
I’m a seventeen year old singer/songwriter from New Jersey.
Music is what I live for and I’ve been pursuing it practically since birth. I taught myself to play guitar about three years ago and I’m currently attempting to master keyboard and ukulele.
Brenda K Starr- three time Grammy nominee and the woman who discovered Mariah Carey- is my mentor and dear friend. I am also currently working with a great team from BlockStars Production Studios on my first EP project.
I perform at coffeehouses, benefits, local events, and open mics, and frequently audition for shows like American Idol and The Voice.
I also have a YouTube channel and Facebook page that I manage (you should check those out, by the way!)
Now that I’m finished with my mini resume, let me tell you a little bit about myself- the girl behind the music.
Suburbia is not for me. I belong on some deserted island with lots of coconuts and my ukulele. My favorite color is blue and my lucky number is 22. I like boys…maybe a little too much. Sushi is the best food in the world and don’t ever try to tell me otherwise. I’m obsessed with beanies…I’m not even kidding, I have over 50 of them. All different colors. It’s insane. Bugs scare me. I’m convinced I’m going to be a cat lady. Oh, and bunnies are nice too. I own way too many dresses and skirts, and you can never have too many accessories either. Coffee makes me sleepy. Horror movies are my favorite. I drink way too much green tea, and eat more avocado than the average person. I will try anything once, and I can never say no to a dare. I’m carefree and try my best to avoid judgement, and I love to make new friends.
